Client: Deloitte. Berson By Deloitte.
Position: Lead UX Design and Research

Design System Implementation:

The integration required a robust design system to align with Deloitte’s existing Human Capital division. This meant ensuring visual consistency and refining usability features to meet the cognitive demands of users who spent extended periods on the platform.

Ecosystem Integration:

By embedding the HR platform within Deloitte’s existing architecture, the team ensured that users had a cohesive experience across Deloitte’s various tools. The platform was designed to scale, handling the massive report database while delivering a user-friendly interface.

Customization and Accessibility:

The final product offered flexible design systems that improved cognitive accessibility. Increased gutter margins and enhanced readability improved the user experience, keeping customers engaged for longer periods, with analytics showing an average time-on-site of 3.5 hours.

Conclusion:

Integrating the HR platform into Deloitte’s broader ecosystem required a balance of technical precision and design flexibility. The result was a unified, scalable platform that elevated the overall user experience while maintaining Deloitte’s brand integrity.

Results:

Redesign efforts resulted in the longest sustained use times in Deloitte history, as confirmed by the customer analytics data. The average time on site was 3.5 hours.

Key Features: Improved Cognitive Readability

The design system was refined to enhance cognitive readability by expanding gutter margins and reworking the 12-column flex grid. This adjustment improved user focus and overall engagement, allowing users to comfortably interact with lengthy reports running from 30 to 200 pages for extended periods, averaging 3.5 hours per session.

The shift addressed usability challenges, ensuring users could easily digest complex content without cognitive overload, making the platform more approachable and intuitive for long-term use.

Key Features: Creative Direction

Creative direction was pivotal in customer adoption with the broader Deloitte Ecosystem of customers. The focus is on aligning imagery, language, and user goals with Deloitte’s brand and ecosystem. By integrating the Human Capital division’s broader vision, the team crafted a forward-facing experience that resonated with users and reinforced brand consistency across platforms. This strategic approach ensured seamless alignment between the new HR platform and Deloitte’s established design and marketing standards.
